Lossless compression:

Lossy compression :

With lossy compression, it is understood that a few loss of information is good enough. The best example is a video conference anywhere there is an acceptable quantity of frame loss in order to deliver the picture in actual time. People might appear bouncy in their actions, but you still have a grab for what is occurrence on the other end of the conference. In the case of graphics records, some motion may be lost in order to create a lesser file. The loss might be in the appearance of color depth or graphic detail.

For example, high-resolution particulars can be lost if a image is going to be display on a low-resolution tool. Loss is also satisfactory in voice and audio solidity, depending on the desired excellence.
