What encryption technologies are used in this product?
The product I've chosen equivalent to BitLocker is "VERACRYPT". The technology used by Bitlocker is AES encryption. However in Veracrypt it supports, AES encryption, Two Fish, Serpent Encryption Cyphers.
Compare the third party product features to the Microsoft offerings.
Comparing to BitLocker, Veracrypt is more flexible because, Bitlocker is full disk encryption in any computer, there is no option to encrypt any file particularly. However in case Veradict it supports full disk encryption, system disk, volumes inside other volumes.
Since Veracrypt not only supports Entire disk encryption, it easy for the users to encrypt only the files they needed as well as creating authorization for individual files, which enhance the securtiy of system more.
Also Veracrypt encryption was free as well as faster than Bitlocker, You can utilize it any computer as you need. However Bitlocker comes default with Windows only.

Bitlocker Advantages:
1. No need for installation, as it was available default with Windows OS.
2. Provides complete security to entire system, as it encrypt the full disk.

1. Not So flexible, because the encryption is for entire disk, no option for split encryption within disk.
2. As it encrypt full disk, unncessary load cause the tool slow for simple encryption.
3. Used only with windows default system, come with single encryption pattern.
Veracrypt Advantages :
1. Highly flexible, option for both complete disk encryption and individual files.
2. Free, faster, Highly secured because each of the file can be encryption very own user authoirzation.
3. Applicable to any systems, not default to any particular system.
4. It uses more than One Encryption technologies (AES, TwoFish, Serpent Encryption cyphers.
Veracrypt Disadvatages:
1. Need to install manually, as it was not a default product.
2. Bitlocker is a packed solution because it encrypt the disk completely, here one have to decide on the encryption terms for each of different files.
