I'm trying to write a program that calculates a students 2 grades. If either grade is less than a 40, it is an automatic F. If both are over 40 and the average is below 60, it is an F. Any average above 60 and below 91 are considered passing. An average over 90 is considered passing with honors. The program must output after the grade is calculated whether you pass with honors, pass or fail. I have an idea how to set it up but it's not compiling the way I would like it to. Any assistance would be appreciated. I would like to know how to set it up and if possible, which direction I should be headed as far as the body. Thanks
Explanation / Answer
Are you using the IF...else IF.... statements, or the nested if....else if.... statements to decide if the avg and the grades return f. also are you declaring the computation for the avg of the 2 grades with cin statement for the input of the grades. but here is what i am using for what your problem is asking for. double grade1, grade2, avg; cin>>grade1>>grade2; avg=(grade1 +grade2) / 2; if (grade1 < 40 || grade2 < 40) cout
