Explanation / Answer
I selected Magzine "E-Gov". Its publication date is Volume 13 Oct 2017.
There are 44 pages in it with 39 pages having no ads on it. Though the magazine is largely confined to governmental social issues corporates have also taken a keen interest in advertising their products and services.
The first 20 pages are essential in grabbing the attention of reader as his mind remains fresh and companies have to incur good price while advertising to start pages. The front page is confined mainly to the magazine's pics and contents. Last 20 pages though having social value seem less advertisement for publication as compared to initial ones.
For example, the editor of the cited magazine had taken keen interest to reflect its other services with full data about the publication on page 4. It is exclusively confined to the pics, editorials, addresses at proper left side location below the page in order to get the attention of a reader.
The Layout of advertisement had properly made to fit at the proper place in order to target the reader's attention. Its content size is proper in order to create best advertisement copy with appeal and design as per standard. Other initiatives of the magazine had also been tabled at best place with highlighted coloured designs.
The longer two articles being "Committed to Uphold HIGH STANDARDS of Governance: Gujarat CM" & "NHM: Gujarat Tackling Health Challenges through Innovation" is spread into 6 pages.
The ads particularly that of ONGC seems Cat's Eye of the magazine. The advertisement copy spread over two pages had all appealing and attentive remarks on the copy. The taglines like ": We love to outnumber by numbers", "Where profit is driven by people " and Going the distance is an everyday habit" relaxes the mind and refreshes reader for further process of reading. The engineers working shown on advertisements are energetic thus puts an impression about ONGC in bringing the gap between developed and developing.
So, the magazine had been drafted as per standards with clear pictures and brand in order to leave an impression on the reader to go further for future issues as well, which is an important characteristic of being successful to magazine in order to grow in thus competitive business environment where there are more alternatives for reader as well.
