Considering the fact that the medical clinic is a 20-physician multi-disciplinary practice and serves 275 patients each day, it is important that the physicians have sufficient time to meet the growing needs of the patients. The recommendation is to use the back-end editng. In back-end editing transcriptions use the recorded speech of the doctors for typing, editing and formatting the document. The author (doctor) is not involved however the process is transparent. Hence the doctors who spends time on self-editing (front-end editing) can increase the productivity by adapting the back-end editing. Back-end editing has faster turn-around times and hence the medical clinic can cater to all the 275 patients and even more than that.
