Explanation / Answer
The problem at work- Sexual Harassment at Workplace
Position-A sexually harrassed women at work place is left feeling helpless and angry when boss or other male employee touch or see in a sensual way or create situations were she can be alone with him. Confronting the perpetrator of this harassment may result in job loss and not doing anything about it means a daily struggle which only increase the mental tention. A survey in 2010 shows that 88 per cent of female employees had faced some form of sexual harassment.
Objections and counterclaims- Now in order to stop this issue at workplace, management can conduct regular surveys and keep an eye via CCTV as well. HR department can keep an eye on suspect and can take immediate steps to solve the issue. But in some cases it seems to be opposite. Male employee can be targeted by a female employee with wrong allegations. The reason can be competition between them or due to any ill feeling which may arise due to any argument between them. Now in such a case for a male employee, it will be difficult to prove that he is innocent and no such thing happened with his female counterpart.
