Request No-754 Name of Request- Changing the program from just health camp for senior citizen to active ageing center
Change Description- Our organization is at present providing health camp for senior citizen in various scale.But after evaluating the program we strongly believe that we should change our program from health camp to active ageing center so that senior citizen can form small social group to do something for the society and in this course of action they can interact with each other and isolation they are feeling will be completely addressed.
Change reason- To indulge senior citizen more and keep them mentally and physically strong so that they cannot feel them at lost after active life.
Impact of Change-Various indepndent health study finds that senior citizen remain more healthy and physically fit if there emotional and mental health remain healthy.In this elder age they feel dejected and isolated because no one is there to talk to them and with whom they share their emotions.Small social groups can be formed so that it have two positive results.They will do something better for the society and indulge themselves in small group work.
Proposed Action- The organization will not only focus on healthcare but trying to do much bigger than it.The proposed small social group consisting of elder people will be contacted and asked about what they want themselves to remain healthy and indulge in social activities.According to their response the like minded people who lives in close vicinity will form a group.The organization will take care of this so that conflict in the group can be minimized.They will indulge in social activities like planting trees, teaching to students from weaker section, become a member of any cause etc.While doing this they will not feel socially isolated and remain busy in small activities which their health support and they will not expose to any diseases.
