Explanation / Answer

> Supportive Leadership

I choose Supportive leadership because I feel this kind of leadership impacts and motivates an individual a lot. It changes the mind-sets of the people. Many, in fact, no person likes to be imposed by any task or a job on him forcefully. Basically, supportive leader reduces the stress and frustration of an employee. In this, the manager does not just assign the task and receive the results, they too work through the task with the employee to enhance their skills and performance by empowering. Supportive leadership are defined by their approach to emotions, time and training. This requires empathy and a sensitivity, which helps the employees to gains knowledge and deal with the issues themselves, as they arise.

In this context, it is all about creating an environment or climate which is motivating and value oriented. Which has an acknowledging effect on the performance of the employees? When employee feel valued and cared for, then in times of change they trust and help to manage the uncertainty. For instances, friendly interpersonal relation, provide social support when an employee is upset, show appreciation, spending time with them, and show consideration and trust etc. The competence of the employee is shown in such a way, where there is a maximum possibility of achieving the task. Intact, which is a benefit for both the company and the employee. All this in-turn results in overall job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
