A. Security experts agree that average home computer users have very little knowledge regarding how to make their computers secure. How can this deficiency be addressed? What suggestions would you offer to make more users securtiy competent?
B. Not all security experts agree that the threat of cyberterrorism is significant. Because no worldwide attack has yet been launched, some doubt that one will ever be launched. What do you think? Using the internet and other sources, research the cyberterrorism threat. What specific targets would be on the attackers' list? What reasons do others give for denying the threat? What instances of regional or national cyberterrorism, particularly in the Middle East, have already taken place?

It is true that the average computer users have very little knowledge regarding computer security. Most of them just use websites at home to access mails with yahoo or gmail accounts at home and some of them use it for voice and videos calls and other aspects. Students use computers a lot to gather information from google and other search engines and also watch videos and other things.The problem is that they dont know much about the viruses and malware that comes along with accessing sites and performing day to day tasks using computers.This deficiency can be addressed by making them aware of the various types of computer security attacks and the causes and the ways to prevent them.Examples include viruses called file infectors which infects the files stored within the computer. they can change the content or permanently delete the files leading to loss of information. Another example is boor viruses which make the computers impossible to boot up at startup and attacks the hard sdisk flippy. These viruses can cause a lot of damage leading to loss of information or making the whole computer unaccessable. Man in the middle attacks can also happen in which another person can access username and password while a person is using his email and can lead to unauthorised access. Denial of service suspends the service to the user and leads to information blackout. The users must be aware of these and we should make sure that users must use proper measures to prevent them to occur.
In order to make computer users security competent they should be taught more about computer security and the ways to make the computer scure which includes:
1. They should be told to install an antivirus software which is up to date. helps to determine the virus and delete them before it infects the files or system.
2.They should install anti-spyware software which is up to date to get rid off spyware and prevent the unauthorised access to the data.
3.Implement firewalls: Firewalls monitors the communication of the computer system and the outside world so that users can come to know if any intruder is trying to access the network ,It can be stopped immediately.
4.Keep the software up to date:The newest software have built in answers to all the viruses and malwares and kills them immediately in seconds leading to more security of the computer.
5.They should be told not to open any unknown email from any unknown person to avoid data stealing.
6.They should keep a backup of data in hard disk so that if information is lost from the system ,it can be found on a spare disk.
