Many major decisions faced by a manager of a business focus on the best way to achieve the objectives of the firm, subject to the restrictions placed on the manager by the operating environment (Taylor, 2013). Many organizations can benefit from linear programing – a model that consists of linear relationships representing a firms decisions, given an objective and resource constraints. An example of a type of business that utilizes linear programming is restaurants. Restaurants use linear programming for menu planning. It uses basic algebra to optimize meal production and thereby increase restaurant profits.

I agree with you.
Many organizations can benefit from the linear programming for making decision under the changing operating conditions.
However, there is a very restriction in the linear programming that sometimes makes it redundant is current environment such as presence of only single objective and linearity condition.
Most of the situation carries multiple objectives and conditions often do not follow the linear conditions.
