They want to know which strategies work best in the game, so they can change their payoffs to make those strategies less attractive to players. Your simulation program should ask the user how many games of craps to run. The program will then generate random numbers simulating that many games of craps. For each game, the program must track which bets won. At the end, after running however many games the user asked for, the program should print out the statistics of how often each type of bet won. The Game A game of craps starts with a person rolling two six sided dice. Each die can result in a value between 1 and 6, and the two results are added together for a result from 2 to 12. An initial roll of 2, 3, or 12 ends the game and the person rolling the dice loses. An initial roll of 7 or 11 ends the game and the person rolling the dice wins. Any other result on the initial two dice becomes the point . The person continues rolling two dice, trying to get a result that equals their point. If they roll a 7 on any of these subsequent rolls, they lose. If they roll their point, they win. The Bets A person may make a Pass bet. This means they are betting on the person rolling the dice to win. A person may make a Don't Pass bet. This means they are betting on the person rolling the dice to lose. However, if the person rolling the dice loses because they rolled a 12, then the Don't Pass bet is a push , which means it neither won nor lost. A person may bet on the first roll of a player resulting in a particular number: Snake eyes means they bet the player will roll a 2 Ace deuce means they bet the player will roll a 3. Yo means they bet the player will roll an 11. Boxcars means they bet the player will roll a 12. Hi-lo means they bet the player will roll a 2 or 12. Three-way means they bet the player will roll a 2, 3, or 12. A bet may also be made after the initial roll, and the point has been determined, called the hard way . A hard way bet wins if the player rolls a 4, 6, 8, or 10 and both dice have the same value. So 4 the hard way is 2 and 2, 6 is 3 and 3, 8 is 4 and 4, 10 is 5 and 5. The result must come up before the player rolls either a 7 or a 4, 6, 8, or 10 that is not a hard way (3 and 1 for a 4, for example). A player betting the hard way must say which number they are expecting, so track the wins for each of the four possible hard way bets. Hints There are a lot of things to track in this lab. Break it up into smaller pieces! Start with just rolling two dice and displaying the results.
