Conflict as a Valuable Productive Process
Identify an episode of specifically uncomfortable conflict you have experienced at your workplace. How might the application of this theory have helped to facilitate a more pleasant process and ensure a more mutually accepted outcome?
Explanation / Answer
Conflicts are common at work place and some turn really aggressive that it becomes very tough to stop the conflict. Such conflicts even disturbs the system. For example a conflict between two managers of the company about the persons that needs to be alloted on a certain task might lead into a very uncomfortable situation where both of the shouts at one another and even abuses them. This might lead the whole process to get halted. We can avoid such situations by giving some rules and regulation on how people needs to be alloted and ask everyone to follow the rules. This will make the system run smoothly and will help in mutual accepted outcomes.
