Internet of Things basically implies creating a fully automated interconnection network such that different devices can work in perfect synchronisation. For example, lets say the remote control of AC, home security lock, the car lock and tv remote are connected into a single remote control and can exchange data among themselves. To achieve thsi perfect synchronisation, algorithms and data structures play a crucial role.
Design of effecient algorithms for such real time critical applications depends on the sue of effecient data structures for storage and retrieval of data quickly. There are multiple aspects of synchronisation, communication and networking that have to be taken into account for the same.
Take the example of an array data structure that is heavily used in mathematical algebra like in the case of matrix arithmetic. This is applied heavily in machine learning and AI related algorithms to find optimal solutions.
