Question
Im working with the click PLC program and I’m having trouble. I need to build the ladder logic to do the following:Main enable and emergency stop 1) left start, turn the fan on for 1 sec, then off. 2) then the dc motor turn on for 1 sec, then off. 3) this will repeat 4 times then both turn off. In the same ladder logic program 4) right start will turn on a red light for 2 sec, then off. 5) then the white light on for 2 sec, then off. 6) then the yellow light on for 2 sec, then off. 7) this will repeat 3 times then turn them all off.
For the left stop it should turn off both, fan and dc motor any time. For the right stop it should turn off all lights. If we hit the emergency stop it should turn everything off.

Answer:- For building the ladder logic for this we need to first understand the simple ladder logic of on/off logic relay.This type of function can be used to start and stop things like starting and stoping of motor etc.
Taking the example of ladder logic, we can use two inputs:-
1.'Start Switch' (PLC input A0.0)
2 'Stop Switch' (PLC input A0.1)
Start switch will be use for activating the relay or ladder logic relay N10. it is mandatory to open the start switch which will help relay to be still activated. this is due to the latching in ladder rung 2. the latching is in break condition after activating the stop switch.
Push Button On/Off ladder Logic:-
it is a type of function which is also called Push On and Push Off logic sometimes even flip-flop or toggle function.this is similar to the on/off button of your PC or mobile. when you first time push the button, their is a activation of output. now when you push the button second time the output is deactivated or we can say turn off. Here the push button is single, so the function which it performs are of two types:- On and Off.
We can perform the push on and off logic in different ways.some of the different ways are:
1. ladder logic and boolean logic instruction.
2. performed with the help of Counter.
3. PLC rising edge or falling edge triggers or shift registers.
The faster and simple way to perform this operation is making toggle function of push button.
