a)

Network: A computer network is a digital telecommunication network which is a collection of nodes and their connectors in which data and resources are exchanged in order to communicate. The nodes on a computer network may be connected through cables, telephone lines, radio waves, satellites, or infrared light beams.

b)

The elements of a typical Network are given below:

Node or computer:

This is a device which needs to be connected to the network in order to facilitate the communication through the data and information.

Router:

Routers are the one who connects the node and the network in the outer space.

Bridge:

Routers are also connected with the bridges which are connected to the main network

similarly, some more elements are Switches, hubs, and modems.

c)

The first three layers are the Physical layer, Data link layer, and Network layer and the devices used in it are

Switch, router, cable, modem, hub, etc..

d)

In data link layer it is known as the frame.

and in Network layer which is layer-3 it is known as the packet.
