There are many programs that are currently running under safety net. I took 5 programs out of it as below:

1. Negative Income Tax

2. SNAP - Supplemental Nutrional Food Assistance Program

3. Pell Grants

4. Child Care

5. Job Training

These are some of the programs that are running and spendings on these programs have not changed or reduced in last couple of years. These showcases that either government is planning to come up with alternative and close down this program or the program are not effective and thus low budgets are alloted every year.

To address that the programs work, a system should be developed with the help of technology that provides direct benefits to the citizens without any mediators and thus it will be more effective and reaching to the actual needy people. Also paying up to any of the organization for executing these projects should be based on their performance validation only until then that organization should not be paid for the same. So this way it will bring clarity and effectivness in implementation.
