Let's have a look at what Penetration testing is:
Penetration testing refers to test cases, which performs certain steps in an attempt to break a part of the system. It requires the knowledge of the system before designing the test cases. Knowing the code is not required. This tests the security measures of the system and potential loopholes that can be exploited in the system. The test cases tries to find a small loophole and exploiting the small loophole tries to find a bigger loophole in the system.
A)
For the school, we will be targeting the desktops, Web-applications, and servers.
Because this is the devices and applications which is used by multiple users in the school so chances are that there might be a threat hanging around the corner.
B)
We will be using Kali, Backtrack, and Password cracking tools. because these are the tools who can target the possible threats.
C)
We will do Social engineering to observe the pattern among the users which can be used to exploit the possible vulnerabilities.
same is the case with SQL injection as well. making sure that there is no loophol;e for SQL query to be injected is a good decision.
D)
Both tools will be used to make sure all the corners are covered.
