1. Data is raw facts and statistics and information is processed data to be useful and knowledge is application of data and information.
Data is raw facts and statistics, its raw so we cant directly use it data have no use until it is processed. After processing the data into something useful then it will become information now data is processed and can be use and after using information human mind get knowledge. Knowledge basically capability of human mind, like what human mind can understand and process and it will become knowledge.
Graphical representation of relation between data, information and knowledge is:
Data ---> Information ---> Knowledge
2. Organization still have information deficiency problem because We live in a world which is constantly changing so Its hard to know that information we have right now will become useful in near future and lots of time this data is just only a part of the whole view. Then we need to store and present that data in a way so that it will become helpful. If the data is not presented well at the time decisions are being made then all of this work is lost.
