Question

Core Competencies of Disney:

- Consumer Products:

Disney and marvel has lot of product to offer their customer alone marvel has the many products in their bag to offer its customer base compared to DC and Warner. DC Universe has not much character that can compete to Marvel at that much extent.

- Media Networks and Broadcasting:

Disney’s media network is expanded all over the world and rule over the broadcasting world with their tie up with different international and local channels where as Warner does not have that much reach to their fan base all over the world.

Disney Theme park and resorts:

Disney is world famous for its theme park Disneyland across the world, whereas Warner have no such facilities through that they connect to their fan and reach all over the world. Disney has its own designed theme park and resort where they can market their character and future product worldwide gaining advantage over Warner.

Studio entertainment:

Marvel studio has future line of their product which is way stronger and popular amongst their fan base and they are able to dominate the market with their future products. Their product line is long and large compared to Warner. Disney and Marvel has their own animators, story writer individual studio and team of engineers who can contribute to product line more than any other studio.

Warner can compete and will able to match Disney if they expand their empire and their product line compared to Disney without that they won’t be able to replicate success of Marvel and Disney any way. They have lot to learn from Disney/Marvel and they have to grow further to replicate same result as Disney.
