Question

Please see the stats data provided in the articles below to get a sense on how this trend has been developing in recent years:

As you can see that SQL (relational) databases are still dominating, however a noSQL databases have a significant part of the market.
Direction
Argue whether the relational databases will eventually become extinct or not? If you argue that they will extinct explain why; if not, argue what will be the role of each type of the database in near future.
Explanation / Answer
Answer)
Yes, There are some new technologies which have come up like NoSQL, BigData.
Also, there is an explosion in the market about it using the NoSQL rather than SQL. Here, RDBMS Market are assumed to be down by $40 billion when NoSQL has started to range for $3.5 billion.
Whereas companies like Google, Yahoo or even Facebook doesn't dump RDBMS even having proper infrastructure, tools as well as resources. RDBMS is loyal, secure, efficient in inserting, updating, storing as well as protects the companies important data.
Hence they would probably not be able to unseat RDBMS.
There might be an add -n to the RDBMS like the PostgreSQL 9.3 which has more features for better performance. But, there is no such substitute for RDBMS or in short no substitute for our already stored important data.
