Explanation / Answer

Ans: A corporation is a group of companies, which consist of many workers working hard for their livelihood. According to Utilitarianism, this states that the best action is the one which maximizes utility. A secretary who met with a car accident is no more perform his task and other functions are of no use for the corporation because they have to see other workers also where a single person may affect too many other workers. So utilitarianism model says to fire her and replace her with another secretary as the budget is already very tight and your corporation has not sufficient funds to pay for an additional secretary. By this they can run their task smoothly and which cause no harm to any other worker.

But, if you see the perspective of the one who met with an accident is very loyal to your corporation from last 15 years which is not negligible. Firing her will create a very bad impact on the other workers, they will think that corporation didn’t think care about them and they will not be loyal again with the corporation. The secretary who met with an accident has the right to stay in the corporation as the right model says, access to the privilege people would have if they were not disabled. As laying her with compensation will not decrease his problems, maybe it will help her for a small period of time but then after she has no option to fulfill daily needs. Although a corporation is also happy with her services and they can’t fire her when she needs the corporation as its reality that no other company would offer her job in this condition.

In my opinion, A Corporation must have to care for their employees as employees are the base pillars of a successful corporation to stand. A person who is loyal to a corporation, the corporation must have to be loyal with them. The corporation can retain her by providing her with some extra time to complete the work as she is now disabled, and the corporation can reduce a little amount of his salary. This will make her feel better even other employees will not be in worry if in case anything happens to them.
