Additionally, are there certain physical requirements that a potential employee in the healthcare setting must possess? Obviously, a skilled surgeon must have the requisite physical capabilities (in addition to cognitive skills) to perform in the operating room. But should these same requirements be applied to other healthcare staff, or are healthcare management staff more similar to office staff in other professions?
Is it important for an employer to know if a potential employee has a disability? Why or why not? Does it make a difference whether the employer is a healthcare setting such as a medical practice? Why (and how) or why not?

A skilled surgeon has more responsibility than the health care staff which means that the physical capabilities that a surgeon must have are not necessary to be in health care staff, but never the less health care staff must have physical capabilities as per guidelines to be ensured that they can’t take risk while in an operating room because it’s a life or death situation for patient.
An employer should know the guidelines of the minimal physical requirement in an employee and they cannot compromises with it, and if an employee has a disability employer must ensure that the service of the employee may or may not create a problem for a patient. If there is a slight chance of creating a problem then the employer should immediately remove that employee from its job or place him in another department.
Yes, it will make a difference if the employer is a healthcare setting medical practice because the employer already the basic requirements to be in the healthcare department. He knows the working of this department and can easily take a required decision as per his experience.
