Management is very fast fields. There are plenty of projects where there is lot many complexity, hugeness and have technicalities. The engineering management has huge significance in such projects. Engineering management has very scope in specially manufacturing as well as research industries.

First let us understand what Engineering Management is. It is a management field where the employees are supposed to lead the technical or engineer employees or any project related to the technical or engineering.

The engineering management employees get training of general management as well as engineering management. The engineering manager needs to motivate, guide, coach the technical person in the project. Handling the technical team is very difficult in handling the regular employees in the organization. That is why engineering management is there.

Management is general is very different than the engineering management. Although the engineering management also includes the basic functions of management such as Planning, organizing, staffing and controlling. But technicalities have been associated with the engineering management. The management in general is associated with managing the organization for its day to day activities but engineering management is associated with managing the technical team and staff in a project which has complexity and technicalities.
