Assignment 3 In our readings this week, there was a great deal of material on handling change. Please detail a project you cuurently are working on and describe how it could be managed better by using the change methods in the APM. The paper should detail the initial project business case, how the project was planned in an agile mode and the environment of the organization (is the process stable, are stakeholders accountable etc.) If you do not have a agile project to use, take a upcoming project and apply the theory to that project and describe how you would handle change by doing agile. I am responsible for completing a road construction project in Manhattan city. As a project manager, I know that a coordinated team members, well defined project schedule, procurement of raw material, real time specification and changes to fulfil the needs of the project division. A separate inventory management unit will be created by me. This unit should be given the work of material handling. We are focusing to be adopting the agile development framework of this project work. Our mission is to provide value driven work accomplishment to the parties involved in the project work. Our approach is to give high-quality work to each stakeholder.
Our team will take care the activities of material handling like procure, store, secure, raw materials and human resources to oversee the inventory etc. with best possible lowest cost , within less time consumed , quality wise good, maintaining the safety stock , an appropriate lead time , reorder point etc.
We shall utilize the guidelines of Project management organization, USA and frame a work break down structure which will reduce our problems related to material handling and challenges of change management.
A liaison officer will be appointed to take the challenges in APM .He will be given full support to make the external environment favourable to complete the task on time. Political issues, local culture, technological problems, environmental threats etc.are handled by the officer. It will smooth to manage the project progress.
