2) Natural selection acts on a population through anamplification of what I described about the individual. Thewell fitted individuals survive and reproduce and the badly fittedindividuals die and don't reproduce. Over time only the wellfitted are left and as a result only the good features are left. An individual itself cannot evolve because evolution takesmany many years to occur. Evolution is simply the long termeffect of natural selection.
