Question

I never want my employees to feel like they are obligated to work under my standards because then I will lose employees and no longer have a business. I can make changes to my policies and always have group meetings to hear others opinions ads to how they feel about the policy in order to bring team collaboration within the company.

Could there be risk that a willingness to change policies and not insist they work under your standards be misinterpreted as the leader lacking ethical convictions? If so, how would you correct such a misperception? (In a 150 words or more).

Explanation / Answer

I think there is no risk in that. As far as a leader is concerned, it is very important for him to give a proper direction for action to his subordinates. On the other hand, the ideas and views of employees are always a welcome. This will not only help to improve the morale of employees but also the work will be done more efficiently and effectively, this will give rise to overall productivity. No organisation in today's era can survive on the grounds that the leader is obligating his decisions on the employees without listening to their needs and wants. It is purely ethical to make the employees participate in the decision making process and it helps to make a leader, a much better leader not a leader who lacks ethical convictions.
