Question

Imagine that you are American and you married your wife in India. After you came back to USA, all of a sudden, you are sick (could not walk or could not stand, it's like you are paralyzed) and for that reason you are admitted in a hospital and there is no one to take care of you. You do not know how long you will be in a hospital. Your wife is still living in India and she cannot come right away because she does not have US visa. So, to get US visa you need to write a letter to US counselor and explain your illness and how much you love your wife and how important your wife's presence in this time of hardship. Basically, you need to write a letter explaining your predicament and explain the reasons your wife's presence is absolutely necessary and request the US counselor to issue the visa promptly for your wife. Please be sure that your use of language and tone need to be polite and your letter needs to be well written if you want to convince US ambassador.

SUB: Request to Process Visa for Indian wife required to take care of Illness

The US Councelor,

ABC, Washington DC.

Sir,

I XYZ, an honorable proud citizen of the United States would like to request you through this email to process and issue visa for my Indian wife PQR, with Passport no : "1213232" . I have gotten severely ill, and have a almost paralyzed both of my limbs and am unable to move and take care of myself. I am writing to you from my hospital bed, where I have been left alone with no one to attend to me from my family.

I got this sickness in the last week and have been through this excruciating pain with no one from my kins to help me, I have married my wife from India only 10 days back and would really want her to be with me to support and share this painful time with me. As all these unfortunate sequence of events happend too quickly, I did not get time to complete the visa formalities for my wife and now I am in no position to go to the Visa office and get the process completed for quicker approval.

I write to you to have pity on me and please expedite the visa allocation process, so that I would have my wife with me to go through this ordeal and alleviate the pain I am going through. Please let me know, if there is any thing required, if those can be completed once she is here it would be very kindful of you.

Thank you for understanding and having mercy.

XYZ,

Husband of PQR (Passport no: 1213232)
