The reason is simple and same as that of the government’s restriction on the Physician assistants (PAs) to work independently of the physicians.
Physician assistants (PAs) are qualified and trained to provide assistance to the physicians who are actually trained and qualified to provide complete service to the patients based on the learning and skills they developed through formal trainings. However, the service PAs are providing is learned by watching and practicing with the physicians and is limited to the routine work they performed while working under the physicians.
If the limits are removed on the practices, the can put someone’s life into danger if the case involved something that they have not performed earlier. To avoid this risk for the patients the govt. restricted them to work independently.
If they want to practice, take the formal education of the physician, get certified by passing the exam and work as physician.
