1.Each student should prepare a paper as a “My Personal Leadership Development Plan.” The paper will not be submitted. Your findings should be submitted as a PowerPoint presentation. The length of the presentation will depend on the value you place on your leadership development.
2.Using what we learned in class from the discussions, instruments, assignments, and readings, do a complete analysis of your leadership style and effectiveness.

Guidelines for Personal Development Plan •Identify the behaviors that you need to stop doing and others that you need to start doing. It is important that over the semester you begin to reflect on these actions and take steps to change your behavior to become a more effective leader.
•Utilize any reflective activities found in your textbook to explore your potential. •Use the five practices of exemplary leadership discussed by Kouzes & Posner (1987).
Reflect upon which practice best exemplifies you. •Use any combination end-of-chapter questionnaires, observational exercises, and/or reflection to guide your discussion. •Discuss at least two leadership theories that resonated with you and your style. •Provide a specific list of strategies (i.e. action steps and timeline) for your leadership development and justify them on the basis of your above discussion. That is, show how your discussion of leadership concepts informs your choice of action steps.
•Create a leadership development plan for yourself. The plan should be put into effect over the next one to two years.

Leadership style and effectiveness
I own a Democratic leadership at my work place wherein I always try to include my employees in important decisions which may have impact on him so they feel comfortable by putting their own inputs and perform well knowing what they are supposed to do.
What have you learned about yourself
I have found a new me. I never knew that I can be so inspiring to the people I work with. I can convince the people around me for the work, they sometimes even go personal and seeks my advice on their personal issues. I feel more confident, more generous, more positive.
What areas do you need to work on to be a more effective leader
I will find out the way on motivating my employees so they don’t need to stretch their working hours quite often and speed up their work maintain the same quality so that they can manage work personal life balance.

I need to be more relax and I need to learn to delegate my task to my team and get free time for myself to be able to work out on strategies for their benefits and for organization which I am not doing as of now because of the workload I am handling. I do have trust issues that I hardly believe in work of others and feel confused as to whether he will be able to perform the task or I should do it alone.

I follow Path – Goal Model and Charismatic leadership theory.
Path – Goal Model – I will focus on motivating the employees for their increase productivity and better performance. Employees also have their personal motives which is to earn more. Therefore, if the organization focus on employee’s interest as well, they are tending to perform more and better. This theory provides for offering of rewards for achievement of performance goal, removing the obstacles from performance.
Charismatic leadership theory – Every employee and even we follow the teachers who is having strong point of view and commitment and is having very pleasant and warm personality, grounded to earth. They leave an impression that everybody wants to follow and would have a impact which is long lasting.
