Explanation / Answer

Process is managing monthly budget and multiply Inventory of the kitchen pantry.

The standard would be to maintain ideal quantity of monthly supplies that can be utilised throughout the month. And the cycle would repeat for the next month. The budget would be around $1000 for every month.

In order to measure the actual performance, monitor weekly quantity of the inventory used up, if any of the ingredient is lower than the actual quantity, control the use of that ingredient by telling all the family members to do the same. Repeat the same procedure for every week. If any of the ingredient is lower than the safety stock by the third week, order the same ingredient up to the optimum level and accordingly make changes in the records. Maintaining records in an excel sheet would help to make note of the items that is not maintained optimum level.

At the end of the month review the inventory, compare the actual budget with the budget planned, if the budget has been exceeded take appropriate control measures for the next month.

The results of the project will always be positive and would control the urge of over spending on unnecessary food items or junk items. It would also benefit family member health why not over consuming any junk food items.
