Thanks so much for your help The disease cystic fibrosis is caused by the recessiveallele n. a) what perdentage of the children of a couple genotypes NNand Nn will probably have cystic fibrosis? exlain b) What are the phenotype and genotype ratios for theoffspring of 2 people who both have the genotype Nn? Thanks so much for your helpExplanation / Answer
A) no chance at all because the genotype of cystic fibrosis is nn.And since only one of the parents have one n in their genotype, thechild can be a carrier, but has no chance of having thedisease. B) phenotype is 75% chance that the children wont get the disease.and 25% chance they will. genotype:25% chance that it'll be NN, 50% chance that it'll be Nn,and 25% chance that it;ll be nn. Hope this helps you, I asked someone who knows alot aboutgenetics to double check my response. if you don't understand whati wrote, then write back to me and ask for clarification.
