As a continuous improvement manager my main responsibility is taking care of entire process and make improvement timely, as we are aware process improvement is very important in any organization most of the time. Existing process become absolute as time passes, New trends and technology and many other number of reasons. process improvement help business in smooth functiong and also save time and cost.
As a continuous improvement manager below two methodology, I can use
- The lean
- Six Sigma
Both methodology provide practical solutions of practical problem and also provide some quick solutions.
Most of the time we have seen lean and six sigma used togather and it also required deep understanding of bbusiness and related process for improvement.
Steps-
Analysis - analyze the entire process and find out the problem.
Documentation - after finding the issue focus on documentation of entire process and understand the issue and plan for the improvement.
Implementation - implement new changes in process.
Take corrective action - again check the process weather working fine or having any issues.
Scope - scope of process improvement.
2 - You can keep checking and comparing actual work with standard if any deviation you found than it means system need some improvement in process.
You can also keep track or analyze the daily activity - input and output. You have many tools available in market like SAP which help in continuous improvement.
