Answer :
In above case the span of management is at middle level. Physician reports to the head authority of the hospital. Physician is working at middle level while communicate with both the levels.In this type of management , authority & responsibility are given at central person , that person coordinated all the resources. At the same time , reports to top management about all the activities.

In this case the span of management is relatively low compare to other two cases.Here the owner / Manger directly coordinating , controlling the resources through his actions & decisions . Such type of management effective in very small organizations.But if organizations are big then this method is ineffective. Some time its difficult to control & coordinate resources even in small cases also being personal limitations of owner.
