Explanation / Answer
Explanation given to a 7 year old - The interest in the subjects and the knowledge gained by them.
Explanation given to the boss - Explain how it will help me better my corporate skills and how will I be able to help the organization grow in a better way by applying the new skill set acquired.
Explanation given to a 7 year old should be encouraging as he himself is in his school days where studies are compulsory. Interest and knowledge gained are two perspectives where the 7 year old would be encouraged to take his studies seriously and would also help him in future.
Explanation given to the boss who is paying the tuition fees should be more practical. Benefits to the organization should be illustrated as the boss would want some returns on his investment in you as an asset.
