Explanation / Answer

I am doing an research on the Apparel Industry where all the categories of Apparel are present in the store its one of the largest and biggest retail chain across the country the name of the organization is Shoppers Stop Ltd one of the Organizations which was formed in the year 1993 with a mere some of fe dollars and now it has more than 85 stores across the country and does abusiness of more than 10,000 Crores in India. The main product which it sells to the customers are the Apparels Branded and the Private labels to the customers. It has the largest loyalty base programme with more than 1 million loyal customers.

This organisation was formed by ensuring that the SWOT analysis is done before they ventured into the market. Their strength was that they were the sole people in the apparel industry and were having the Monopoly market during that time their was no competition for the product in all the categories. Weakness was that they had less finances and did not expand rapidly all across the chain. They had ample opportunity to expand but they do not do any expansion. Threats were that the new competition were venturing into the market which really made the competition tough for them to survive.

Environmental analysis analysis is a strategic tool and its the process to identify the Micro,Macro, internal and external elements of the organization which can affect the Operation of the organization performance. These challenges are general in nature and is found in every organization. Economic fron did not have much investment which resulted into less expansion the funding from the to management was not much due to which their were less expences spent on the ABP. Competition analysis was not done they should have ensured that the competition should be studied thoroughly so that they are able to come up with the new varieties of the product and see that the stores have freshness in the market.

Marketing Objective statement Marketing need to allocate the budget for ATL and BTL activities and should ensure that all the Billiboards,Print,Media,Flendges,Eacting,Drinking and Convienence outlets are properly marketed. Provide good support to the end users. The print media to have advertisement in the center page inflight magazines and in the popular magazines. Electronic media should have continously shown the advertisements in the TV. Time frame should be set to target the end users. Feedback has to be taken for the product and analysis report to be prepared. Timely delivery of the report so that management can take decision weather to go for the product launch or not. Marketing plays a key and integral role so that the PPPP of the market are studied properly and than pitched into the market.

Target market We need to be clear that the product is targetting which segment and what segment it will be catering to. One needs to be clear in terms of analysis and a through report prpared with feedback report to the top managemet. Type of customers are between the age group from 0-60 Since this is apparel industry all the clothes for all the walks of life and age group are present in the store
