Please answer the followng questions.
1. Do you buy (or try to buy) from environmentally-friendly companies?
2. Name local companies that you think fits this description.
3. Discuss how sustainability fits into marketing campaigns.
Explanation / Answer
Yes I would buy products from environmentally-friendly companies. Environmental sustainability refers to avoiding depletion or degradation of various natural resources by responsible use of the available resources which allows for long-term environmental quality. It simply means that natural resources available for today's generations may not be available for future generations to use if the resources are not used, renewed, or handled in a proper way. For example, if someone wants to have a mango to eat and it grows on his own tree. He has options of either climbing the tree by himself or cut down the tree so that he can reach the mangoes. Either way he will benefit today by eating mango however, if the tree is cut down then there will be no future availability of mangoes.Customers would always their next generations to benefit from the available resources. Hence while making a purchase they will consider the environmental sustainability of the organization as they would consider themselves as a part of an initiative. This will help in marketing of products as this adds value to the product or service and customers would want to be a part of the sustainability initiative of an organization.
