Can someone help me with question 3 and 4 since I'm not sure whether it's actually 4 signals or 2 signals?Question 1 [1.5 pts) Using the approachinotation data presented in lecture what is the predicted chemical shit of proton HAinppm? Please provide Mstthe numerical value expressed with one decimalplace along with an asterisk appropriate. Do notindude unts. Question 201.5 pts1 Using the in lecture what is the predoted chemical shit of approachinotation data presented proton Heinppm? Please provide jstthe numerical value, expressed with one decinalplace, along with an asterisk r compound c? .5 ptsl How many unique signals wil be exhibited in the proton NMR spectrum Question 1.5 ptsl How many unique signals wil be exhibited the proton NMR spectrum compound D? Question SI1.5 pts) How many unique signals wil be echbited in the proton NMR spectrum of compound E?
Explanation / Answer
Question 3 : For compound C, there will be 2 signals in the H-NMR , because the H-atoms attached to the two methyl groups, one projecting into and the other out of the plane, are identical in of environment conditions.
Question 4 : For compound D, there will be 3 signals in the H-NMR , one each for the two H-atoms attached to the two carbonyl groups, and one for the two H-atoms attached to the =CH2 group at the extreme left.
In compound D, I have assumed that the figure shows the two carnonyl groups different in terms of orientation. If they are identical and the figure is shown in this way just for cofusion, then the answer will be 2 .
