R 2. To the solution in Problem ld at loo c, 10g of water at added, and thw Holution is cooled to 0 c.
Explanation / Answer
(b) From (a) it is given that,
247 g. of KNO3 can be dissolved in 100 g. of water.
Then, 25 g. of KNO3 can be dissolved in 25 * 100 / 247 = 10.12 g. of water.
(c)
It is know that,
114 g. of CuSO4.5H2O can be dissolved in 100 g. of water
Then, 20 g. of CuSO4.5H2O can be dissolved in 20 * 100 /114 = 17.54 g. of water
(d)
Amount of water required to dissolve 25 g. of KNO3 and 20 g. of CuSO4.5H2O = 17.54 g.
