Explanation / Answer

1. A complete food contains all the proteins, carbohydrates, fats, water, vitamins and minerals that our body needs. Positive Benedict, oxalate and molybdate tests shows the presence of carbohydrates, salt oxalate (Ca, Mg, K and Na) and phosphates, respectively, in the milk sample. The protein may not be present in the whey (refer part B) but was detected positive in the casein (refer part C). The milk sample also contained about 83% water and 0.6% of fat. However, the sample of milk doesnot contain iodine as determined by iodine test. The vitamin and mineral content of the sample was not determined and needs to be tested. Hence, with this data claiming milk as a complete food will be inappropriate.
