Question

I need to evaluate this IR, Proton NMR, and Carbon NMR:

Analyze the spectra and identify the substance. Submit a report (see a sample report here) which explains what the compound is and what evidence you have to support your assignment.

Clearly state the IUPAC name for the compound and draw the chemical structure.

The spectroscopy data should be presented as three tables.

For the IR spectrum, list the wave number of each major band, the relative strength of the absorption and possible assignment.

Similarly, for the 1H-NMR spectrum a table with the chemical shift, spin-spin splitting pattern, relative integration value, and J value is required where appropriate.

The third table - - the 13C-NMR data--need only include the chemical shift for each peak.

Explanation / Answer

From the nmr spectra one important thing is missing that is integration value( for no of hydrogen atoms)

From the spectra it is concluded that(though it's picture is not clear),

multiplet singal (7.17-7.25 ppm) that is assigned for aromatic proton) having J value= 7.2Hz

triplet signal (4.19-4.28ppm) (zoom in the pic and check once again it is not clear )

singlet signal (4.10ppm) (zoom in the pic and check once again it is not clear )

multiplet signal (1.20-1.31ppm, overlapping (zoom in the pic and check once again it is not clear )

As the integration is not given so we can not conclude the the structure.
