I'm writing a Bio lab report about serial dilutions. 1    2   3     4 10   5   2.5  1.25        <-----DNA(It starts with 10 m and decreases by a dilution factor of2) 10 10   10   10          <----Water (10 m ) My professor said something that is the same about the DNA inall of the samples, I don't remember what he said!!! The only thingI wrote down was that what was different was the volumes orintensity of staining. That it is just diluted. My question is what isthe same about the DNA in all of the samples! The concentration of the initial DNA stocksolution is the same (means the solution where you take 10, 5 2.5,1.25 and so dilution) From there, you take different volume 10, 5,2.5, 1.25 from the DNA solution (that's why it showsdifferent concentration after you add water) Serial dilution is a dilution process which involves a constantgeometric progression of concentration being reduced at each stepof dilution Hope this helps!
