Why dose hydrogen hasn't the characterize of the metals. Hydrogenstands in the first group of the product table A1. Although we knowthe elements of one group have similar propriety from each other.So, why there aren't any of hydrogen crystals ever?

   Actually the Hydrogen is Not metal .But itcomes under Alkaline metals . Because While formation of periodic table Based on theelectronic configuration of the element It comes under the Metals. Due to metal electronic configuration is ns1.whwre n= 2 to 7 And Hydrogen electronic configuration is alsons1. whwre n=1for hydrogen . Thats why Hydrogen comes under Alkali metal group.
