Question
I cannot figure out how to put this in my TI-30Xa calculator?
5. USING STORED VALUES: Most scientific calculators have certain stored values such as pi, , available. Locate on your calculator. It may have its own function key or it may be a second function on a key. is used in some formulas concerning circles and spheres. Since atoms are generally considered to be spherical, z is sometimes used in chemistry. For example the volume of an atom can be found by the following equation: V- (4/3) n r3 where V is the volume of the atom and r is the radius of the atom. Example: Find the volume of a Carbon atom, C, whose radius is 77pm (pm represents the unit picometer). Therefore, the volume of a Carbon atom will be: V (4/3) t (77pm) 1.91x10% pm See if you can get this value on your calculator. The unit "pm" will not show on your calculator. Write the correct steps here: please indicate which keys must be used to do each step. I was completely lost on this problem. I have tried to enter the problem every way possible and I still cannot come up with the correct answer provided. I even asked for the help of my "math wiz husband, and he was unable to help me figure it out. I'm not sure where I am going wrong. I didn't even come close to the answer
Explanation / Answer
are used in circle, sphere volume and area measurement.
The value of is = 22/7 = 3.14
In case of the volume of carbon atom the radius 77 pm.
So the volume V= 4/3 × × r^3
=4/3 × 22/7 × (77)^3 (pm)^3
=1.91 × 10^6. (Pm)^3
