Question

Mass (before reaction): test tube + HCl(aq) + stir bar + capsule 26.000 g
Mass (after reaction): test tube + HCl(aq) + stir bar + capsule 25.700 g
Volume of water displaced from the squirt bottle 150 mL
Temperature of the CO2(g) 321.3 K
Pressure (atm) 0.948 atm

I know that we need the formula PV=nRT to solve it, every time I attempt to solve it I get 0.237(g) but the website I have for homework says that's incorrect.
Maybe I'm setting it up wrong?

0.948 atm x 0.150L = n (321.3K)(0.0821)

n=(mass/ Molar Mass)

Explanation / Answer

0.948 atm x 0.150L = n (321.3K)(0.0821)

n=5.391*10^-3

mass =moles * M.wt

     =5.391*10^-3 * 18

     =0.097 g
