According to Dr. Hansen, what is happening to Earth’s energy balance? Why? (15 pts)
2.

How does he use the graph below to discredit those climate change deniers that state that the Sun is the main cause of climate change? According to this graph, in what year is the Sun’s energy reaching the Earth the least? (15 pts)

Explanation / Answer

1. According to Dr. Hansen there is an energy imbalance within the earth from the sun in this an more amount of sun’s heat energy is coming to the earth and it’s unable to go back in the space causing an energy imbalance and leasing to the heating up earth more and it causing the global warming. This is caused by the various green house gases such as CO2, CH4 in the atmosphere which act as an blanket by taping the heat within the earth.

2. Sun is the source of energy from the beginning of the earth it has been radiating energy from the beginning but the atmosphere has evolved from the time to time and it has not been the culprit for the global warming where as the atmosphere that content the various gas are responsible for it it mainly been governed by the green house gases which traps the heat and it makes the earth warmer as the amount of this gases will go on increasing it’ll be going to increase the earth temperature. Where as earth position from the sun will also have some impact on it if it goes nearer to the sun it’ll definitely be going to heat the earth on global level.

According to the graph 2008-2009 least amount of the sun’s energy reached the earth surface.

3.In comparing this two graphs the temperature lags behind the CO2 concentration graph. This is due to the fact that as the concentration of CO2 goes on increasing in the atmosphere it’ll be going to act as an blanket and it’ll be followed later on and it’ll lead to the increase in the global temperature. It’s quite obvious that it’ll be going to influencing the future climate too as the concentration of CO2 will be going to dictate the temperature pastern of the future as the concentration will rise temperature will follow as the concentration will fall it’s temperature will fall too.

4. The ideal solution will be by cutting down the global CO2 emission and this can be done by the reducing the uses of fossil fuel uses this will reduce the carbon imprint on the environment this is the best way and by changing our energy sources we should go for the green energy sources with the we can also reduce a lot in the CO2 emission in the atmosphere. Yes I regard this can work out if all of us want to make an better planet for our future generations, this will be going to work out.
