Question

Please help me in this problem please, having a little trouble. You guys can skip A and answer from B. To get full points please show points and sig figs for all step = )

Consider: 2A(g) -> E(g). The plot below shows the change in the number of moles of A and number of moles of E with time in a 10.0 L container. Only A is initially present in the container. Temperature remains constant at 25 Degree C in the container. Assume A and E behave ideally. Show a plot of total pressure in the container with time. Calculate Kc for the reaction shown above. At what time (in seconds) is equilibrium first attained? Justify. Is the system at equilibrium at the time where the plots of moles A and moles E cross? Justify. Draw a picture of a representative small volume of the container at a time after equilibrium was attained. Define each symbol you use. Could the same equilibrium amounts occur in the 10.0 L container if only E were initially present in the container? If yes, calculate the number of moles of E that would need to be added to the empty container. If no, explain why.

Explanation / Answer

continuation to my previos post

e)what kind of representation???didnt get it

f) a small concep,.how is equilibrium attained?

when rate of formation of products = rate of decomposition of reactants

products formed by reactants also decompose to form reactants, but due to small conc. of products its not consisdered.

so,if we give at start products ...it affects equilibrium
