A. Fully define each of the following terms.
B. why it is important to identify the following demographic facts relative to the health of the community?
Clutch size Trophic levels + types
Species richness Mutualistic relationships
Predator / prey relationships Ecological succession
Trophic levels + types
Explanation / Answer
It's is important to identify these demographic facts relative to health of the community. All these demographic facts contribute to the probability that the different species within a community are dependent on one another and therefore help in the stability of the population. If population of one particular species overpopulate the community, it would die of starvation because of the limited supply of resources. The mutualistic relationship helps a particular individual which would find it hard to survive on its own in getting the support of the other species and maintenance of rich gene pool.
