Question
I'm really stumped on a qualitative analysis question, and I really need an answer for this question. I've got all the info for it that I need, but I can't seem to be able to get the correct answer for it. I'm also overloaded with coursework so I don't have sufficient time to figure this out.
In addition to the following images of the HNMR spectrum and the IR spectroscopy (apologies for the low quality), I also know that the compound is an alkene which is also insoluble in water, NAOH, HCl and H2SO4, and does not contain an aldehyde or a methyl ketone. It is also a clear yellow in appearance.
Explanation / Answer
The analysis becomes easier if you could provide the molecular formula of the compound. The images are very dull , hence it becomes difficult to interpret. Please upload the new one. Sorry.
