Explanation / Answer

Hi, we are mandated to answer the first 4 questions. I have also answered a few more questions. Please get back for any further query.

6. The answer is the paraphilia.

It is a condition that is characterised by abnormal sexual desires. These typically involve dangerous and nonethical activities. It involves extreme fantasising and dangerous desires.

Other options like an anomaly, perversion describe abnormal sexual behaviours. But they are not due to mental disorder.

7. True.

Best friends and lovers do share a lot in common. The only thing that is different is that there is no sexual relation between best friends. The best friends and lovers share similar feelings, thoughts and mutual respect.

8. true.

The nonverbal communication plays a major role in sexual desire, arousal and the actual act of sex. But often such acts go in a rush and there is no room to discuss of consequences. The safer sex is most important to avoid sexual diseases and unwanted pregnancy. In such cases, a verbal communication is most essential. It imparts confidence and trust among the partners and is of common interest.

9. Commitment, intimacy.

The theory of triangular love is given by Sternberg. According to his theory, there are 3 components of love. one is Intimacy, which you feel when you are with your partner, the warm cosy feeling of bonding. It also includes better communication with partner, understanding and mutual respect. Another component is passion. This involves romance and sexual thoughts towards your partner. The third component is the Commitment. This involves a decision whether to love your partner, whether to stay with your partner. It may be long term or short term. Thus maintaining a love is commitment and feeling happy around your partner is Intimacy.

10. The answer is Abstinence.

The abstinence is a self-imposed restriction on sexual activities by a person. It may be due to socioeconomic reasons. health issues and any other reasons. For example, a female may abstain herself from sex during fertility period.

The celibacy is a total restriction on the sexual act. it may be due to religious thoughts and as a measure of population control .The priests follow this.

The chastity is a restriction on sexual activity outside the marriage/commitment zone. It involves avoidance of sex with multiple partners.

11. Love is universal.

Love is a feeling which has 3 components as explained before. Intimacy, passion and commitment. The definition of love may differ across cultures or across species, but the idea remains the same. The love is found in animals, insects, mammals and also in birds. It is present in all cultures and traditions. Though there may be restrictions or regulations on love and its fallouts, no culture forbids it. Some species may have only passion and intimacy, any some may have only passion. Higher mammals may show all 3 components. It is present among heterosexual partners as well as homosexuals.
