1. During the electroplating, anode loses mass, and cathode gains equivalent mass.

2. The electrodes should be electron conductors. Rock salt does not conduct when it is in solid phase. Being immersed into a water it will dissolve, and will not serve as an electrode.

3. a) if the electrolyte is a silver nitrate, the anode should be silver and the cathode should be silver or copper.

b) The charge of the silver ion is (+1).

4. In a such arrangement the inequalities of deposited metal distribution are minimized.
